Thora Bertha Krogue Larson
July 19, 1921 - April 8, 2009My Granny passed away just last week and on Saturday the 18th of April. We held a viewing and the funeral at a church just down the street from where she used to live Vegas. It was so exciting to drive past all the sights I used to see when I was younger. I could even point out what street to turn down to get back to her house.
I was very nervous for the viewing. I figured I would break down as soon as I saw her. I walked past the door and looked in quickly to try to get myself acclimated before I went in. When I walked in with Josh and the rest of my family, I looked at her, and I just knew there was nothing to be sad about. The body before me was not the smiley, happy, warm Granny I remember and i I will always remember. We sat in the room and watched everyone come in a pay their respects. It was really crazy to see how many people, from all over, all different ages, come in.
My Granny was really a wonderful person, really out going and friendly. She was a big part of my upbringing and she will be missed by all. I am so happy that she was my Granny.
