We went in for another ultrasound with the specialist and my parents were able to come for it. Unlike last months appointment, Ellie showed us her face! I was very excited to see her cute little mouth, at one point it even looked like she was puckering up for a kiss.
As medical reason we go, the blood clot is reabsorbing which is what we wanted. The specialist gave the same lecture as last month about being aware of what my body is trying to tell me and watching for signs of premature labor. I did mention a some light pains and discomforts I have had and he believed them to have been contractions... which then lead to the lecture again. Oops! I guess I really don't know what I am supposed to be watching for, I thought a contraction was a big pain all over the belly, but they can be light and in only a section of the belly. Hopefully, now I can be more careful and know what to look for.
The beginning of February we will begin doing a non-stress test twice a week. The specialist said he hopes she goes full term, but any time after that he is comfortable about her coming. I am actually beginning to believe she will make it to term. Isn't that fun to say!
Update on Ellie's movements:
She spent the most of last week right-side up, kicking her feet at unwanted targets. I finally started pushing on her to encourage her to move away. She would soon go back to her ways and I would push on her again. Finally, a week later, she has stopped! Now, I get to watch her steady kicks against my belly. Josh has FINALLY noticed her kicks pop out under my skin. We are quite excited and I hear she is going to only get better at it.
