We got the opportunity to see Footloose at the Tuacahn Amaphitheatre over the weekend. We had taken our niece to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince earlier in the day and she wasn't tired of us yet, and she came along with us. We were able to score seats that were six rows from the stage and directly in front of the rock formation part of the stage. We were so close to the actors we were able to look deep into their eyes. We were all very giddy. There were a lot of sideways glances followed by huge smiles going around among the three of us. I do think the main reason was to see Thayne Jasperson in person. You might know him from season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance. He it was amazing to see, he looked just the same.
Also at cast in this years productions is, Jan B. Felt. I know her best from the movies Baptists at Our Barbecue or Mobsters and Mormons. I have seen her at one of Aliya's plays before and it was exciting to see her again. Aliya knows her and gave her a big hug when saw her before the show. Exciting.
Starting September 9th 2009 you can find someone I know REALLY well in a Tuacahn production of Annie. Aliya is making her first professional acting debut. I am also really excited to see her up on stage. I am so already started to brag.
