Ashley Sings

The Ellen Degeneres Show was doing a Bathroom Concert Series where viewers video taped themselves singing in their bathrooms. I made one of my own. Yes, I do realize that I do not have a single musical bone in my body, so bear with me.

Anasazi Valley

A while back the was an article in the local paper about some petroglyphs in town. Yesterday, Josh and I went for a hike to see some find them. It was a very nice day; sunny with a slight breeze. It took us a while to find the trial head because the article just gave the general location. Once we found it, we were off. We walked, and we walked, finally finding three drawings. Only three drawings! Josh and I skinnied down the cliff and stumbled over the boulders looking for more. We never found the big rock covered with drawings that was pictured in the article. The trail continued on so we thought that maybe that big rock was further down the trail. 15 minutes later we passed other fellow hikers and asked them if there is more drawings up ahead and they told us that no more were up ahead and that the trail goes another mile towards town and back up by the way of the river bed. So we turned around to start our journey back. I went to take pictures with my camera, and it didn't have a memory card in it. Luckily, Josh's phone is awesome and takes really good photos. These are the are us on our hike and the three petroglyphs:

SNOW STORM

The last weekend, Josh and I drove up to Lehi to see his parents. We left right at 7 a.m. when we got off the graveyard shift Saturday morning. Just past Hurricane, as we began our climb to higher altitudes, it began to snow. I have never seen black ice, and Josh showed me what it looked like. Further up, the road turned to slush, then there was no road at all! An hour into our drive and we were not even half way to Cedar City yet! We had to drive slow, but still fast enough that the tires stayed warm to prevent ice buildup. We passed many vehicles that were going too fast and had slide off the road. Finally, we made it to Filmore and it cleared up and there was a road to follow again!

I love the time we get when we go on trips together. We have the most amazing conversations about the most random things!

Josh Massage Classes

Josh has started massage school. He is doing well, the instructor has actually asked him to slow down on his homework!! He goes to school every Friday for a two hours. Then there are other classes that are only one or two weeks long. For those classes he must go every day Monday - Friday. So on Friday's he will go to school for two classes. Then there are a few classes that are Saturdays only.
His school work seems to be just as confusing. There is two or three books for ever class. Reading, coloring and cd listening for each class. Then each new class he starts he gets new books. His syllabus have pages of assignments he needs to accomplish. He tries to explain it to me. But it confuses me way too much. I really do not know how he is keeping everything straight.
This is week is the first week were he has class Monday - Friday, plus a Saturday class. Homework every night due the next day AND he goes to work. He is so tired. After this week is over he does not have another Monday - Friday class for a few months and hopefully the homework will lessen.

Trip To Seattle 2008

Hello to everyone!!!! Yes this is the second post, I know it has been awhile. This week we went to Seattle, Washington to visit Josh's sister Misty. We started off the trip by going to Las Vegas and visiting the Luxor, home of Criss Angel. It was awesome, the giant pyramid lots of lights. We went and found the Criss Angel Shop, we bought authentic Criss Angel playing cards. We then found the card that he magically threw in the glass door(we saw this on an episode).

This was only Ashley's second time flying. However, she has never flown on a BIG plane. She was excited, Josh was nervous because he hates planes. The flight was pretty good, take off was smooth, flying was smooth. The only downside was the pilot couldn't land because the flaps wouldn't work!!!!! So we had to circle Seattle a few times until they finally worked. Thank goodness, that would have hurt to land without them!!!






























Misty and Lorelai picked us up from the airport. We first drove to Federal Way and showed Ashley where the Hesch's used to live and the big hill where Josh got hit by a car. I showed Ashley the forest I used to play in. Ashley really like Seattle. All of the trees and moss everywhere. We then went to the mall and Misty bought a new phone( Blackberry Storm). We watched Lorelai while Misty went and got her nails done. Took Lorelai to the playplace and took her to see Santa(I know he was their way too early!!). Then we went and ate dinner with Ty. After we ate, Josh, Ashley, and Misty went and saw TWILIGHT!! It was a really good movie. It was Misty's second time seeing. Can't wait for the next one to come out!! The next day we went to Seattle! Ty took us to Pikes place and the space needle. We saw the football stadium and baseball stadiums where the Seattle teams play!








After visiting Seattle we went on the Fairy back to Bremerton. That was a neat experience. It is crazy how a boat can hold all of those cars!!

Basically, this is Josh and Ashley's blog. We are posting for the very first time. We've had this blog for months, we just barely got time to add anything. So Amy and Nancy you will finally have something to look at. We will try to post our lives so you can have all the gossip and drama of Josh and Ashley. Can you handle it??
